No Surprises Act

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your health care will cost.

Under a new law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t use insurance an estimate of their bill for health care items and services before those items or services are provided if they request it.

Finally! At Desert Peak, we have been providing our patients with transparent pricing since the day we opened. We’re glad that congress has finally caught on (now they need to work on transparency for health insurance and hospitals, in our opinion).

What does this mean?

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any health care items or services we provide upon request when scheduling these services.

If you receive a bill that is $400 or more than your Good Faith Estimate from us, you can dispute that bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate and the bill.
